Dad, Raven and Jess all drove up from St. George... Josh drove down from North Salt Lake... and Mom from Sandy... All for a 8AM convocation. That is true family love right there. My dad and I were even up, ready to go, and taking pictures at 7! Way to early... We took a few pictures around my office before and then the snow held out for enough time to take a few outside after. We all froze our butts off, but still got some good ones.
After the convocation we went to IHOP for breakfast since it was only 10... We thought that no one else would go there, and we were wrong... We waited forever for our food. But Mat ended up getting a few free ice creams for it. To Mat, ice cream is great at all hours of the day! Poor Josh had to leave right after breakfast to another ceremony for his brother Michael... Hence the reason Janae and the girls didn't come down. Two little ones and six hours of graduations doesn't really work very well.
When we came home from breakfast I had quite the surprise.. Mat had decorated the WHOLE house with a couple big signs that said "Congrats Grad" and balloons everywhere and little graduation cap streamer thingys hanging from the ceiling all over the place! I LOVED it! Especially because it was something that was a total surprise! Mat is so great at doing things like that.. even if they are simple things like decorating the house because he knows I would love it. He drove around like a mad man all morning trying to get all his surprises done for me... He got me a really pretty lei that he gave to me as I walked across the stage, and even got me a graduation tackle box! haha. There is this tackle box at Cabela's that I have been wanting forever to use for scrapbook stuff. It's HUGE! And since all my homework time is now going to be scrapbook time, I needed a tackle box for sure.
Mat is so great! He made my graduation day so special and did everything in his power to make it the best day and the happiest day possible for me! And so did the rest of my family! Thank you everyone who came and made it such a great day! I love you all!
Here are a bunch pictures courtesy of Mat and Dad...
